Center of Evaluation for Global Action (CEGA):
U.C. Berkeley and UCSF are the home to a number of the world's foremost experts in the rigorous evaluation of economic development and public health programs. These scholars have formed CEGA as a joint venture of two research centers at U.C. Berkeley (CIDER and the Center for Health Research) and Global Health Sciences at UCSF. Many of their studies have employed randomized evaluation methods that yield uniquely reliable results for policymakers.
International development or public health organizations interested in finding out more about how this expertise might be useful should contact the director of CEGA, Ted Miguel (emiguel@econ.berkeley.edu).
